Town Street is the main high street in Horsforth and has the greatest concentration of pubs and bars in the area with a great range of options from a traditional boozer to a lively 80s themed bar!
The Sandbar is owned by the same group responsible for a number of other venues on Town Street including the Medusa lounge just over the Road and the Black Bull at the end of Town Street.
Like the Old Kings Arms across the road, The Black Bull is a more traditional pub with a strong emphasis on typical pub entertainment including live sports for which there are a number of screens and it is also one of relatively few pubs on Town Street which has pool tables.
The Old Kings Arms is the second to last pub on Town Street situated just across from the Black Bull and next to the village museum. If you are a fan of the more traditional style pub then the Old Kings Arms may be the right place for you as it so far seems to have avoided the modern makeover that has come to other pubs in the area.
The Town Street Tavern is midway down Horsforth Town Street and offers something a little different from the other pubs close by with its strong emphasis on real ales with up to eight real ales available at any time.
Mavericks has a strong 80s feel both in terms of the décor and the type of music played with 80s classics pumping out every night and you can never go wrong with music from this era!
Bar 166 has a funky interior made up of a mixture of different seating types including high tables, sofas and stools with plenty of little niche areas.
The Brownlee Arms is one of the newest additions to the pubs in Horsforth having taken over a few years ago from the Grey King. Serves real ale, cocktails etc and has a large restaurant area.
