Bar 166 is fast becoming one of my favourite pubs in Horsforth. Firstly the staff are absolutely exceptional and give amazing customer service. Just a few weeks ago my wife and I were in on a Friday night and the manager randomly gave us a free round of drinks. When we asked why they just said because we were good, regular customers. As we are regulars anyway there was really no need for them to do this to retain our custom and it just felt like a really nice gesture. I’ve seen numerous other examples of excellent customer service including an instance where a bar tender gave a small child his fruit cocktail drink for free because the child had helped with making it and the bar guy said “how can I charge you when you did most of the work?” In addition to the excellent staff, the interior is lovely and provides an unique and interesting experience for the eye. The food is also amazing. Can’t really say enough good stuff about this place. Go see for yourself!17/12/2016
Not my favourite pub on Town Street but not bad. Prices are a bit steep compared to some of the other places down the road but has a nice interior and is quite comfortable.15/04/2016
As mentioned above, the Town Street Tavern offers something a bit different from the other pubs around Horsforth and has a really nice atmosphere if you want somewhere quiet to just go and chill for a while. Also fantastic range of real ales, just make sure you know what you are drinking as some are pretty powerful and I’ve woken up after an evening in this place with a very sore head on more than one occasion!20/08/2015
I was a little sad when the Grey Horse closed for refurbishment as it was my favourite local pub however I have been really pleased with the results and still find it a great pub to visit whether for a bit of peace and quiet to get some work done at certain times or for a great atmosphere at busier times of the week. I’ve also been impressed that the prices have stayed reasonable as a side effect of a refurbishment can often be a hike in the cost of drinks. Finally would like to compliment the friendliness of the staff. There is always a warm welcome.18/07/2015
